Hola! I am Lorraine! I was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in La Paz Baja California Sur Mexico until the age of 6. I had a wonderful childhood with many fond memories in la Paz where I have an extensive family. I reside in Porter Ranch California with my husband Juan Carlos and our son Maximiliano. We travel to La Paz many times throughout the year to visit my lovely mom mixing business with pleasure. I initially earned a degree in Advertising & Illustration with aspirations towards becoming an Architect. I returned to school to continue my education receiving a degree in Interior Architecture while raising my family. I have always worked freelanced as a designer and slowly started building my own design company and brand. With technology came the wonderful advancements in the Interior design fields making it easier, faster, affordable, and globally possible through e-Design. I am an expert e-designer in virtual conceptualization and space planning, utilizing all my skills and experience in both residential and commercial spaces. My design style is inspired by the Desert Beach Oasis and fusing my love for all things Mexico, I created my own niche staying true to my culture and heritage with a splash of Global fusion Design. I designed and built Casa Amador and Casa Ix in Mexico which are currently Airbnb Vacation home rentals.

I have an extensive collection of Mexican miniatures that I have collected through my travels in Mexico. I created a Miniature house in Honor of Frida Kahlo and continue to add to it every day. Follow me on IG @mini_Casa_Ix to view my collection and progress.

My favorite holiday is Celebrating “Día de Los Muertos” by hosting creative workshops, with the intention to create and promote the many art mediums and colorful traditions of Mexican Folk art.

the beginning
Mildred Oliva is a native of La Paz and an accredited Architect with over 10 years of extensive experience in the field of Design and Construction. Her background encompasses a broad range of projects in both La Paz and Cabo that include residential as well as commercial developments. Mildred also brings significant experience navigating through city ordinances such as site permits, applications, plan submittals, surveys, and all other necessary documents necessary to produce an efficient transition through the process.
Mildred is the founder and CEO of Innova Arquitectos and Construction along with her husband, Abraham Rodriguez. Joining forces with Ixcana to create a powerful team that designs, builds and documents all aspects of a project.
Ulisse & Tere
Ulyses Carbajal was born in Morelia Michoacan but relocated to La Paz at the young age of 7 when his family decided to move to beautiful La Paz. Ulisses is Ixcanas Director of Operations and brings to the team a wealth of knowledge and years of business management experience. With over 32 years running operations for multiple multifaceted organizations, Ulysses experience makes him a vital member of the Ixcana team.
Tere Carbajal is a native of La Paz Baja Sur and is the Project Director here at Ixcana. Tere brings in years of management experience leading and developing teams, managing projects and considerable customer relations experience. Equally as an experienced color consultant and paint expert, Tere helps create a cohesive and pleasing aesthetic to all our projects with excellent finishing touches. Tere also happens to be my fabulous niece and married to Ulisses. Together they also form a tremendous Airbnb Property Management team.

One of the team members is deaf and another one is hearing impaired. Abrahams two brothers are also deaf and they are part of his construction crew!

Ulisse was working in Cabo for many years while moonlighting as a DJ in clubs and for events with the nick name DJ Cafeína.
